About / Bio

Kathy GrayOriginally from Los Angeles, Kathy received her degree in Interior Design from FIDM Los Angeles. Upon graduation, Kathy began her career specializing in kitchen and bath design. Working with some of the finest European cabinet makers, including Snaidero and Poggenpohl, Kathy was able to blend her passion for design and architecture along for her love for cooking.

"I remember walking through homes while under construction with my father as a small child. He would ask me to look at the space planning and consider how it could be improved. He would then show me if we moved a wall just a few inches how that would enhance the space. This is something I have practiced throughout my career…looking for that hidden space which can elevate the design to another level."

"Creating a beautiful space that functions well for my clients is a passion. When looking at my on line portfolio you will see many different styles of kitchens and baths. Whether you enjoy cooking alone or as a team, we all tend to gather in the kitchen. My goal is to provide you with a space that works well for you, complimenting your lifestyle and your home’s architecture."

Kathy's work has been published nationally and regionally in books and magazines such as Great American Kitchens Volume III, This Old House, Fantastic Kitchens, Nashville Home and Garden, and many others.

Awards include regional winner in the prestigious Sub Zero Wolf Design competition for 2000/2001.

Kathy resides and has her studio just outside the beautiful village of Orlean in Fauquier County, VA.
